Where Are We Now: Volunteering on a Chacra in El Bolson, Argentina

by Elizabeth on November 14, 2008

We are now off to volunteer on an organic chacra (farm) just outside of El Bolson. It’s spring here so there should be plenty of farming work to do. We’ll also help cook and clean and participate in other daily activities.

We have no idea what to expect so it should be an adventure. (The website mentions occasional “sacred circle dances”…)

We’ll be on the farm for 5 days, likely without internet access, and will share stories with you when we get back.

Wish us luck!

I’ll be interested to hear about your experience. After reading about several people’s experience with volunteering on farms around the world, it sounds like a a lot of fun.
I’d bet money that they went through WWOOF but I could be wrong.

volunteering -Peru will find you unpaid work in various social institutions. The only requirement is that you have an adequate level of Spanish for community service. To ensure this, and to help you adapt to this new situation, it is essential that you have followed a Spanish course with us for at least 40 hours (2 weeks)
