What is Search Green Travel?
Search Green Travel is a tool that helps you:
- find the best deals on plane tickets, hotels, and rental cars, and
- save the environment at the same time
It was created by the founders of Go Green Travel Green as another way to help travelers be more eco-conscious.
How does Search Green Travel work?
Search Green Travel is set up through an affiliate program. When you use the Search Green Travel tool, the travel search engine gives us part of its revenue.
We then donate 50% of our profit to small but effective charities that are working to promote sustainability and cultural understanding.
You search for flights, we donate. Together, we save the environment.
Which charities do you support?
We research the nonprofit organizations we support on Charity Navigator to ensure they are in good financial standing and are promoting conservation and/or a furthering cultural understanding. We focus on small but effective organizations with annual expenses of less than $3.5 million. If you have a favorite environmental or international nonprofit you'd like us to support, contact us.
Nonprofits Search Green Travel currently supports include:
- EcoLogic Development Fund. EcoLogic advances conservation of critical natural resources in rural areas of Latin America by promoting sustainable livelihoods and by strengthening community participation in natural resource management.
- Global Green USA. Global Green USA fosters a global value shift toward a sustainable and secure future by reconnecting humanity with the environment.
- Seacology. Seacology is an international environmental nonprofit organization that focuses on saving endangered species, habitats and cultures of islands throughout the world.
- Alliance for Global Justice. The mission of the Alliance for Global Justice is to achieve social change and economic justice by helping to build a stronger more unified grassroots movement.
- Fauna & Flora International. Fauna & Flora International acts to conserve threatened species and ecosystems worldwide, choosing solutions that are sustainable, based on sound science and take account of human needs.
