At this moment we are on our way to Argentina.
Once we get there our schedule is wide open, but here’s what we’re thinking for an itinerary.
We’re booked for our first week at a hostel in Buenos Aires. Then during October we’ll hit some of the northern sites like Iguazú Falls, Córdoba, and Mendoza.
As it starts getting warmer we’ll visit the middle part of the country, including Bariloche (where we are booked for one of the places owned by Shanie and Jamie from Living in Patagonia) and the Lakes Region of Patogonia. Then we’ll hit the Atlantic Coast and some of the Reservas there.
At the end of November we’ll meet up with a friend in Buenos Aires.
Our last three weeks will probably be spent in the south, including Tierra Del Fuego and Los Glacieres National Park.
We’ll be traveling slowly, mostly by bus — although we may pass on the 36 hour bus trip from Buenos Aires to Tierra Del Fuego and take a plane instead.
We’re also planning on doing some volunteering while we’re there, though the options have been harder to find via the internet than we thought. (Several forums have suggested that volunteering is more difficult in Argentina than other places, but we’re confident we’ll find opportunities once we arrive.)
We’re still looking for suggestions — cities, restaurants, and sites we should visit. So just leave a comment or shoot us an email if you have an ideas.
Can’t believe the day has finally come!
