Earth Movie Prize Giveaway and Exciting News

by Elizabeth

First, I wanted to let everyone know that next week we’ll be posting about some exciting news. It’s something that I’ve been working on for awhile — so stay tuned!

Now onto the prize.

Disneynature is offering a giveaway to our readers: a prize pack valued at $60 which includes a canvas tote, a reusable grocery bag, a biodegradable tumbler, a tree seedling, and a fleece blanket.

This is all in promotion of their new movie coming out on Earth Day (April 22), appropriately named “Earth.”

To win the prize we’d ask that you be a US based reader (shipping a tree seedling across the globe probably isn’t the greenest idea.)

Just leave a comment below by next Thursday, April 16th to be entered to win. So we have some intelligible comments, answer the question: What do you think is the cutest animal on the planet? We’ll randomly choose a winner next Friday.

Check out Disney’s “Earth” website to watch the trailer. It looks like it will be a pretty awesome movie. When I started watching the trailer I immediately thought of the BBC’s “Planet Earth” series. Turns out its directed by the same people and is produced in conjunction with Discovery Channel and BBC.

Did I mention that for every person who sees the movie the first week in theaters Disney will plant a tree?

Leave your comment below with your thoughts on the cutest animal and perhaps you’ll win your very own tree seedling.

exciting news – i can’t wait to see that movie. it looks incredible! and good for disney, to do the tree planting. bravo!

i think the cutest animal is a baby penguin. however, our daughter disagrees and chimes in with a kitten, preferably ginger with white stripes.

The trailer looks wonderful! It’s so beautiful! I’m give another vote to the penguins, but all the babies were adorable – polar bear, bird, whale, elephant, etc. I can’t wait to see the movie, too.

I think the cutest animal on the planet is a pygmy marmoset. World’s smallest monkeys that barely wrap around your finger.

LOVE the trailer! Can’t wait to watch the movie and prepare my Kindergarten students before they go see the film! Gotta say the baby polar bear cub is the cutest…so adorable when it rolls around in the snow! =)

i don’t think i’ve seen any animals that aren’t cute, but i’m very partial to manatees, kiwi birds, dumbo octopuses/octopi, kakapos, and baby deer (!). of those i would have to say that manatees are probably the cutest!

I definately feel the need to let you know what the cutest animals are. I agree with others who left comments, I can find the “cute” factor in everything but the all time cutest is the Manatee and Duck-Billed Platypus.
