My favorite post of the carnival was by the byteful project.  In the Wheels, Jets, & Rails Travel Video we’re taken on a journey involving nine forms of transportation (but never a car) in one day to get from Dallas, TX to Minneapolis, MN.  Watch the video, it’s well done.

  1. What an honor it is to be your favorite submission to this carnival. I had a lot of fun creating the video, though the montage did take some patience! Thanks so much!

  3. Hi Elizabeth,
thanks so much for hosting the Green Travel Carnival.

There’s some great reads there. My favorite - not counting my own, of course - would be the traveling locavore in Yellowstone National Park.

    Great work everyone.

    Travel green…

  4. Great Carnival! I’ve got several relevant green articles in the works on my site and some up already.

Travelling around the world, I’ve discovered our ecological footprint is almost double that of everyone else’s, and many countries resources are strained to feed our appetites, such as the Amazon destruction in Brazil for beef production.

Fortunately, there’s tons we can do to make things better!

  5. Thank you very much for this write-up.

As Jesse above has noted, I too realize our ecological footprint is so much greater than it needs to be.

  6. Great set of articles collated here. Eco travel is such a hot topic at the moment and so few people are doing anything about it. The more press and coverage it gets, the better.
