The disrepair of the National Mall in Washington DC is on the minds of the folks at Intelligent Travel.

Brave New Traveler has an insightful post about how travel changes the acceptance of inequality.

Also this week we came across:

•  I Stay Green where you can rate the “greenness” of a hotel you’ve stayed at
• and the Lova Lava Eco-Resort in Hawaii.  Perhaps one day we’ll get a chance to stay there.
